I have been getting Thai yoga massages for almost a year, every month, and Lori is amazing! I can feel the tension leaving my body even when I didn't know it was there. Lori is great about explaining what she is doing and how it will help you. One time I skipped a month and I could tell I should not have. If I had to choose between Thai yoga massage and traditional massage, I would choose Thai yoga massage. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!

What are Meridians?
The meridian system is a key concept of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), but ancient understandings of the energetic body are shared by many countries in Southeast Asia. It is believed that energy—also called the life force, prana, or qi (chi)—flows throughout the body in the same way that blood does. When this energy becomes blocked, adverse symptoms and disease may occur.
The goal is to optimize the circulation and balance of the body energies through massage along the meridian lines. This practice is believed to prevent and cure disease, regulate metabolism, and support cellular health.
Meridians are channels that direct the flow of energy through specific pathways of the body, much like the circulatory system holds and transports blood. Every meridian corresponds with a particular organ but encompasses the larger functions of that organ as well as other organs around them. For example, the kidney meridian is responsible for urinary health but is also believed to carry sexual energy and affect reproductive processes as well. The Meridian System connects all major organ systems. Each meridian plays a specific and crucial role in the health of the entire body.

Why are our prices are so low?
You may notice that our prices are far less than most practitioners. This is because Thai Yoga Massage is a new service we have added here at East Cincy Yoga and we wanted to make sure that many of you could try it out and recognize the benefits of this style of massage.
We also keep the prices lower because many people need more than a few massages to work out an issue or to stay in balance also because most insurance companies do not cover TYM. Therefore, we recognize that this could really add up for the avg person that really needs the massage, but also has an avg or below avg income; especially during these trying economic times.
However, we also know that many of our clients have a well above average income and sometimes would even like to pay more. In fact, we often have clients that are very surprised by our prices because they have had plenty of massages elsewhere at much higher rates. And yet they recognize our massage is Top Rate and want to give more. And, well, that's where the Tip Jar comes in...
Tip Jar
We do not require or expect a tip from anyone! If you are struggling to just to pay for the massage, please don't add worrying about a tip to your struggles. However, if you are doing rather well these days, please consider our tip jar. It helps us to keep the prices down for those that who are not doing as well financially while fostering good karma for those who can afford to give a little more.
