Lori Kirsch
I am an instructor and owner at East Cincy Yoga. I graduated from Cincinnati Yoga School (CYS) with my 200hr in April 2014. I found yoga (or rather, it found me) in Fall 2012 and I fell in love with it after simply trying out some videos at home. I knew this was something I had to learn more about and be a part of as much as possible. After finding CYS, I began my journey into yoga teacher training school. Since then, I created and opened East Cincy Yoga here on the East side of town! In 2017 we began our own 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training program. I thoroughly enjoy seeing others change physically, mentally and emotionally through yoga and am happy I can be a guide to others. When not teaching, I am devoted to homeschooling my children and exploring nature. My ultimate vision for the studio is for everyone that comes in to feel at home and notice a positive change in their mind and body after their yoga practice.  I teach mainly Beginning Level 1, Mid Level Flow, Power, FYP Class and Kids Yoga.

I graduated from Cincinnati Yoga School in 2015 with my 200hr.
As a yoga student I was blessed to have an instructor (thank you Lori Kirsch East Cincy Yoga) that opened up a new world for me with yoga, just going to classes with her over a few months I suddenly felt in my heart that this is something I want to share also, the healing, soothing, powerful, uplifting, confidence that any type of yoga practice brings out of you. I mainly teach Meditation and Yin Yoga.

I have dabbled in yoga for much of my adult life but began a more serious practice following a health problem in 2019.  When the lockdown happened with Covid,  yoga became my favorite thing to do, alone and with my teenagers, and a home practice was born.  I signed up for Yoga Teacher Training at ECY and really fell in love with the endless learning and growing that comes with yoga, as well as the physical and philosophical aspects that I didn’t even realize existed.  I love the fact that anyone can do yoga and benefit from it and that I can help in that journey as I continue my own.  I am also a mom, a homeschool teacher, and am involved in my husband’s business and the community.  I mainly teach Beginning and Restorative yoga as well as Yogalates but you may see me sub for Slow Flow or Mid Level from time to time.

The spring of 2014 is when I first found yoga, or should I say it found me in a time when I needed it most.  I went into an 'exercise' class, and soon discovered a way of life.  Yoga became a time for me to be present, to observe, and to push my edge - physically, mentally, and spiritually.  I became a certified yoga instructor graduating from East Cincy Yoga School in the Winter of 2021. During my journey of obtaining my certificate I uncovered a desire to share the knowledge of yoga with others.  That I may give those others the same opportunities of growth that my instructors brought to me.  I find much joy and brilliance in the foundations of beginning yoga all the way to the strength of power.  You'll find me in the occasional pop-up class, or filling in for other instructors.  When I'm not in the studio you'll find me with a game controller in hand, atop a motorcycle, or heading to camp somewhere!

I felt called to yoga many years ago but my journey into it didn’t begin until 2019. I wasn’t sure why I was feeling called on this journey but this leap of faith helped me to fill some gaps that led me to a better and more calm state of mind and overall sense of wholeness and wellness. I signed up for my 200 hour teacher training in 2020 and have been teaching yoga now since March of 2021.
I am also a certified health/life coach, reiki level 2 practitioner and have been deep diving into self improvement for over 20 years.

The only way I could begin to express my gratitude to Yoga and all the teachers of yoga before me, was to begin teaching myself. I began a very disciplined practice at home a few years ago and yoga changed my life so amazingly. The best part is, it made a huge positive impact on my three daughters. I cannot wait to share what yoga can do for anyone and everyone! I am extremely passionate about Ashtanga but have a regular vinyasa practice as well. My goal is to send you home with such a good feeling and new knowledge about yoga that you continue your practice daily even outside the studio. I recognize your need for this beautiful journey and am looking forward to being a part of it! I mainly teach Ashtanga and sub for Flow classes.
